Show VN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING TIIE OB-struction OB-struction of water ditches Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City as follows: Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to drive any wagon or other vehicle across any public water ditch or canal within the corporate limits of said Salt Lake City other than at a regular reg-ular crossing, or place any pole, board or any other obstruction whatever, in any such public ditch or canal for any purpose, or in any way interfere in-terfere with the free and unobstructed How of water in such ditch or canal. Sec. 2. Any person desiring to drive across any public water ditch or canal" at any place other than at a public crossing, shall, before doing so, place over said ditch or canal a good and substantial substan-tial bridge, or in said ditch or canal a good and substantial covered Hume, as the City Water Master may direct and decide, sufficiently high, and of sufficient capacity, so as not to interfere with, or prevent the free aud unobstructed rlow of water in said ditch or canal, said bridge or flume to be constructed under the direction of the Water Master of said city. Sec. 3. Any person or persons violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be punished pun-ished by a fine in any sum not less than five nor more than twenty-live dollars. Sec. 4.
