Dr. Howell Eaton was chosen secretary of the Tract society. A resolution making bishops of the board to appoint boards of control for auxiliary departments was passed. It was resolved not to pay the expenses of the delegates to the general conference whose annual conferences fail hereafter to pay assessments for expenses of the general conference. It was resolved hereafter to pay missionary bishops out of the missionary fund, instead of out of the episcopal fund. Rev.
