Show A Book Shower For Public Library If You Think of a Good Thine;, Then l'ush It Along. It has been suggested that a book shower be arranged for tho benefit of tho l.elil frco library, and that tho City Council Commltteo on Library take the Initiative lu the movement. The suggestion provides that Invitations Invita-tions be sent some of tho best entertainers enter-tainers from the Hrlgham Young I'nl-vorBlty I'nl-vorBlty nnd thu University of Utah to give an entertainment In the l.elil Tabernacle some tlmo lu tho near future. These could bo supplemented by somo of our best local talent and with the assistance of tho Lehi Stiver Sti-ver Hand and Siniilu's orchestra, tho hoiibo could be filled. Tho prlco of admission would bo one or more good books or the eiiulveleut of a good book lu cash. Her family lu town hns a few-books few-books which could bo spared, and If the shower woro handled properly, 1,000 volumes could bo added to the library and the whole community be greatly benellted. It Is suggested that tho Council Conimlttio select ono member from each organization lu the city, including includ-ing tho Commercial Club, tho M. I A. Organizations, the Mothers' Club, the I'arents'.Toachors' Association, the Athenian Club, the Sunday Schools, the Relief Societies, the Home Economic Club, tho Ivey Hebeeca Lodge, the Odd .Fellows Lodge, the I). It. Society, thu High School and various other local orgonlzatloiiB to form a general committee. No doubt tho suggestion Is a good one and could be carried out with success.
