Show GRANITE SUBDUES BINGHAM CAGERS IN SEASONS OPENER Granite high school won a decisive decis-ive game from the Bingham high cagcrs last Friday night at the local gymnasium, by a score of 59-21. The Bingham quintet was handicapped due to the height of the Farmers. For scrappy and aggressive play the locals put on a grand exhibition, at times during the game the Bing-hnmites Bing-hnmites exhibited a real offensive attack, with accurate passing of the ball, but their percentage of shots made was low compared with those of the Granite quintet. At no time during the game did the locals threaten threa-ten to gain the lead. Ensign Jensen, left forward, tallied talli-ed 10 points and was high man for the locals. Sid Tregaskis played a nice game on the guard line, and on many occasions broke up plays that seemed certain point-getters for the farmers. Buddy Macke played play-ed a good defensive game. Foi the invaders, Dick Kramer was outstanding and Vaughn Beu-nion Beu-nion lead the attack to score 18 points. |
