Show Former Bountiful Residents Injured Train Car-Train Collison Mr and Mrs Mrs- Lloyd Porter form formerly formerly formerly erly of Bountiful were injured in i ian inan inan an accident at Blackfoot Idaho Wednesday November ember when w en their car collided with a train on one of that city's principal streets On their way vay w y to a dance Mr and Mrs Porter noted a train had stopped at the crossing The glare of the headlights prevented them from observing that a second train was approaching and drove on the crossing the train striking their ibex car and practically demolishing it as they did so Mrs Porter is suffering from severe injuries that of a punctured lung ung fractured pelvis broken ribs and it is feared a spine injury as aswell asell well w ell ll as shock and bruises Mr Porter escaped with severe bruises and shock They were taken to the Blackfoot hospital where their th ir in- in injuries injuries juries uries were attended and where Mr Porter was later released Mrs Porter continues to be critically ill illand illand and X-ray X examinations to have been made this week will perhaps determine the fullest extent of her injuries The crossing at which the acci acci- accident accident dent occurred was unattended by a flagman lagman nor was it attended pre pre- previous previous previous to the accident Mr Porter was the former Re- Re Revon Revon von Hayward daughter of Mr fr and Mrs Thomas Hayward of Bountiful and sister to Coy and Alden Hayward and to Mrs Jack Christensen also of Bountiful Mr Porter is the son of Mr and Mrs John Porter of Bountiful and has many nany relatives in this city as has Mrs Porter The Porters moved to Blackfoot about six years ago where they have dave since made their home The many friends of the couple co here wish them a speedy recovery |
