Tho census oflico has issued a bulletin relating to copper production in tho United States. The report shows that the United States is the largost producer produc-er of copper in the world, its product for the year 1S8!) being 22(!,055,u2 pounds.or 112,028 short tons. Tha total expenditures involved in this production produc-tion were $12, 0(12, 180. The total capital invested was $02,(i'.'3,21S, and the employes em-ployes 8721. The five leading states in its production of copper are Montana, 11222.444 pounds; Michigan, 8(l.s55.fiT5 pounds; Arizona. Hl.5s6.185 pounds; New Mexico, ,'1,1180,13? pounds' Colorado. Colo-rado. 1.170.053 pounds. The bulletin says since the tenth census cen-sus report Arizona and Montana have made wonderful progress in the raining rain-ing and production of copper, and today to-day Montana leads all - states in this production, its y , xceeding that of Michigan, which his heretofore been the leading producer, by 108,7(10,-?ti!i 108,7(10,-?ti!i pounds.
