Letters received from Mrs. Adair of llatudaire, Ireland, are to tho effect that she will pay a visit to her relatives here early in the spring. Mrs. Adair is very wealthy in her own right. She is the daughter of General Wadsworth of this city. At one time her engagement was announced an-nounced in the Knglish press to tho duke of Marlborough who later married the widow llammersley of New York. Mrs. Adair was the widow of Colonel Montgomery Ritchie, U. S. A., when she married John Adair, a prosperous Irish gentleman residing in Queens county. She is a beauty and a capital conversationalist, whilo her reputation as a cross-country rider is the best in Ireland. Her social supremacy is recognized re-cognized in the province where the resides. |
