Show OFF FOR ALASKA. A Party of 1'rainloant Halt Laka People oa a Grand Trip. This evening at 0:!!0 a party of prominent promi-nent ladies aud gentlemen of Salt Lake will leave the city for a pleasant trip to Alaska. Thoy go in tho beautiful special Pullman car "Silver City" on tho Union Pacific which runs through without change und is in charge of Mr. B. J. Richardson. Tho personnel of the party is as follows: Mrs. F'rank Junnings, two children and maid; J. A. KIdridgo and wife, Mrs. J. B.J'arlow, Mrs. Cloe Fldredge, Mrs. XV. XV. Riier and two children, Mrs, Coo, Miss Ida Brown, Mrs. V. Coo, Mr. John G. Bechtol, Mr. H. S. Arms, Mr. J. Gladwin B I Mr. Barnes. On arrival at The Dalits the party will leave tho car aud sail up the pictures pictur-es U Columbia rivtr in the Luioii i'a-ciuc i'a-ciuc steamer Baker to Portland. At Fufilaud they take the magnificent steamer, the Queen of the l'acilic, and sail to their desliuation, Silks, Alaska. Tne trip vill consume about thirty days from Portland. This w.ll bo the lirst trip of the steamer liiis", season. The lare from S.iit Lake to Sitka, round trip, is 1102, or $1U7 ftoui kSait Lake to Sitka, return via of San Francisco. Next month a larger prty will leave Salt Lake to go ou the trip. |
