Wood, ft retired New York banker, bank-er, now living in Brooklyn, has tendered, through his wife. .tlio.oOO to the Young Women's Christian association of Brooklyn, Brook-lyn, to put. up a new building for the associition. The building will be erected on the three lots on Schermerhoru street, between Third ami Flatbush avenues, which wore bequeathed to the association associa-tion by the late S, li. Chittenden. I The proposed building will be five stories high and will contain classrooms, work-i work-i rooms, parlors, butiis, library, roof gar-! gar-! den and dormitories.
