Show His Mind Unsettled by a Dog Bite. A curious "case presented itself at the Pasteur institute Wednesday in the person per-son of a man who bad received a slight bite on the little finger of his left hand. The hand and forearm swelled to enormous enor-mous proportions and caused the man excruciating pain. The hydrophohia question has been agitated so much lately late-ly that the man at once concluded that he was becoming a victim of the dread malady, Tuesday night, while he and his wife were peacefully sleeping, he suddenly awoke and almost bit a piece ' out of her neck. This, circumstance as much as anything else put the man in a distressing state of mind. He determined deter-mined to apply for admission to the Pasteur Pas-teur institute. While waiting in the parlor his mind suddenly became a blank, his face as-j as-j suined a ghastly hue, and the eyes stuck ! out in their sockets to much more than their normal size. He talked wildly, and could remember nothing that had I happened. All at once he came out of ! lus strange condition and talked natural-t natural-t ly. He said he remembered losing his ' senses, but further than that he knew nothing. The dog that bit him is a com-! com-! mon cur and is not mad, but the physi-i physi-i dans at the institute think that the mat-i mat-i ter has preyed so forcibly upon the man's mind that it has temporarily unsettled un-settled him.
