The Eveniug Journal would puhlih the story in regard re-gard to the alleged confession of Patrick O'Sullivan, now in the state peniteuti-ary peniteuti-ary for tho murder of Dr. Crouln. It says O'Sullivan made no actual .confession. That the fact that O'SuIll-van O'SuIll-van was the dupu of the real conspirators conspira-tors has been known to tho state's attorney at-torney for a long lime, and to O'Sulli-vau's O'Sulli-vau's friends ever sin no his arrest. If he gets a new trial the state's attorney at-torney believes he will make a confession confes-sion and reveal the name of the conspirators con-spirators as witness for the state. If ho docs not get a new trial It is expected ex-pected that he will make a confession in hopes of having his senteuce commuted. |
