OCR Text	Show ' Knifed My a Would-be Son-in-Lmw. Kansas Citt, Mo Aug. 6. J. C. Roberts lives at 1717 Tracy avenue. He has a pretty daughter of whom John Long, a wild young blood is enamored. Long called on Miss Roberts -somewhat under the influence of liquor. The father objected to his presence and ordered him to leave. This command Long refused to obey. A light ensued, and Roberts was badlv slushed with a knife wielded by his would-be son-in-law. The wounds are not considered dangerous. Long was arrested today.
