Show Selected by Nebraska. The four lady managers appointed ' from Nebraska to serve on the board of the World's Columbian exhibition are Mrs. John S. Briggs, of Omaha; Mrs. A. B. Martin, of Broken Bow; Mrs. S. C. Langworthy, of Seward, and Mrs. Lena MBS. BATES. MBS. BKIG08. MBS. MAETTN. MRS. LANOWORTHY. I A. Bates, of Aurora. All of them have more or less experience in executive positions. po-sitions. Mrs. Briggs has been identified with the supervision of various Nebaska expositions during the last twelve years, j and is at present secretary of the Western West-ern Art association. Mrs. Martin is a teacher who has shown her ability by supporting herself and family since she became a widow in 1879. Mrs. Lang-, worthy is a woman of culture and re- f finement, and Mrs. Bates is widely known because of her activity in connection connec-tion with Q. A. R. entertainments and the work of the Women's Relief corps. |
