Show Povotcd to One Book. Col. Fitzpatrick is a second W. IL H. Murray. He loves the fields, the brooks and the woods for their own sake, and spends all of his spare time among them. Early last month he went down to Maine on a fishing excursion. The result of his trip he has not yet fully revealed. One thing is certain, he brought back very fow fish, and he had rather be laughed laugh-ed at than tell a lie. So he holds his tongue. Ha may have caught a large number of fish. If so, he is too modest to tell about them. "What did you do if you didn't fish, Fitzr asked a frioud. "I studied all th time." "What did you study?" "Oh, I had a book I got in Boston, and devoted all my time to it." "What-kind ot a book, may I ask?1 "Certniuly; it was a book of fhes I bought here in a gun store." Boston Globe. |
