Show A New Pope Proponed. Taris, Oct. 9. The Matin creates a sensation this morning in religion circles cir-cles by seriously offering that the leaders lead-ers of'the Catholic and Anglican Cere are starting an energetic movement toward the creation of a new pope for Great Britain. The new- pope will of course represent the older or eastern branches of the Catholic church, which both Anglicans and many Romans look back to as the pure and undefilcd source of the present priestly line As in earnest of the truth of this statement the Matin calls attention to the recent Catholic conjrress held at Colopne, where the established church of England was represented by the bishop of Salisbury and the archbishop of Canterbury, there were also present pres-ent Js:iicheff, repreienting the Orthodox Ortho-dox Greek church of Hussia.
