O'Brien in which they describe their flight from Ireland, the motives for their action, etc. They say when they arrive in America they will separate, ' Dillon visiting tho principal cities and towns in the north, and O'Brien going over the western and southern states. O'Brien says the sole object in re- , fusing to face his accusers in Tipperary was to keep the engagement to speak in aid of the Irish cause in America. He was confident the mission to that country would meet with success. The nationalist party is ine perfect accord . and Ireland had implicit confidence in Parnell. The death of Gladstone or the bankruptcy of the National league were 'the sole hopes of the tories in their fight against parliamentary agitation ,for Irish borne rule. Dillon and O'Brien will remain in Paris eight days when they will take passage for New York. . t London, Oct. 17. The Paris correspondent corres-pondent of the Times interviewed the' Irish fugitives yesterday. Dillon expects ex-pects to raise 100,000 in America, and expects a year's imprisonment when he returns. |
