Show O Gemmell Club Team Enters Ball League Gemmell club has filed it's entry in the Industrial basketball league organized last Friday night. Ecker's studio, Goodyear Rubber and Mag-na-Garfield are the other entrants in the league, expected to be one of the fastest in the state. The Goodyear team is being built around Ralph Crowton, a former B. V. U. flash, and Royal Jensen, recognized as one of the best guards available. Warren Alsop, Gemmell coach, had twenty-two men out for Gem mell Monday night. Among them are some' fine looking prospects. All in all, a keenly competitive, interesting season is expected foi, basketball fans. Ecker's studio has previously won the Junior A. A. U. title of the Rocky mountain region. The Knight brothers, Rod and Ralph will have a veteran team this year. Magna-Garfield will place the same team in competition this year that won second half honors last year. Ferd Ewan will again act as forward and. manager. "High-Pockets" Sonne, a 6 ft. 7 inch boy is expected to play center. |
