Dibble passed and ordered paid At this point the board made a visit to the Farmington school to look Jook at the work recently rec finished by contractor II H. E. E cn in project No 4 of Docket No Utah 1067 F. E has completed the work in the contract covering project No Nos 2 3 4 Docket No Utah F. 1067 And whereas the architect Mr Ted Fed Pope and P. P W. W A. A A inspector John H. H Tuttle has verbally re reported reo re- reported ported that the work is completed i And whereas the board today made an inspection of the job at atthe atthe atthe the Farmington school and found it satisfactory Now therefore be it Resolved that the work on these projects by Mr Mi be accepted by this board and the final Cinal payments be made according to the contract and on approval of the architect The motion moti n was seconded by Mr Bennett and carried by all members member voting Aye The Clerk read a request from frolD contractor Earl S. U considering on some possible candi dl- dl I dates A written notice signed by the president dent and the clerk calling a meeting for lor February 27 at 1 30 p. p m. m to consider bids on Project No 3 Docket No Utah 1067 F en- en enlarging enlarging Urging the South Junior high school was as presented and a writ writ- written written written ten acceptance of V he e meeting was signed by by each member of or the board The superintendent suggested j that action be taken by the board in answer to a committee from Farmington on its attitude towards carrying out a previous plan adopt adopted ad Pt ed to establish a 6 3 plan of schools in the district thus th s moving all the and grades to two fully organized junior high hia-h schools A lengthy followed reviewing requests for the adopted program m from various van committees representing a good majority o Othe the school district and review reviewing ng the te hi tory of the program as i ihas it has developed d in community and board discussions in the past In Inthe Inthe Inthe the discussion it was further stated that promises of two junior high schools one school one north and one south I were were made as the condition on I which a central high school was established After the discussion Mr Bennett Dennett moved d that the board continue its policy and program to which the district has been committed for fors such s ch a long time and for which buildings have been planned and partially constructed and that the superintendent be instructed to ex cx- explain plain th the situation to this effect by letter to the Farmington commit commit- committee tee The motion was seconded by Mr th Dibble put and carried with no so dissenting vote yote On motion of Mr Roberts Roberh sec seconded by Mr Dibble the State Road commission was appointed as the testing agency for material in all our oI building projects t Meeting |
