Rex Tripp, pitching for EIva-Ruth pitched his heart out and did his utmost ut-most to defeat the Copperttes. Rex is certainly an Improved player this year. He has developed develop-ed a fast ball, has good control and a fair curve ball. I Just wish he had another year around our high school. Gordon Ramsey's all stars e-i merged at the top of the heap In the Pewee league. Gordon is a real boy, a sportsman all the way thru, and he has the intestinal intes-tinal fortitude to go with it. In the Junior league Marlon Dunn's Deseret-News ball club captured the bunting. Marlon has a well-balanced club but Highland Boy new entrants in the league are out to take the Des-eret Des-eret News into camp this coming quarter. It I don't mi s my iguesi they know what they are talking about up on the flat. The Highland Boy seniors are also playing steady ball and they have set themselves to fight for the second quarter title. They have a scrappy, determined bunch of boys, like Duchle Error, Na-chlo Na-chlo Ortego, Petla Badovinatz, Sam Preloran, Teddy Tedesco and Billy Brown. They can't be denied for long. We were sorry to lose a dozen Highland , Boy youngsters who played ln the Pewee league. It seems that these boys had the impression that they were doing us a 'favor by coming to our playground end dictating their desires. We expect our boys to have the attitudes of good citizens. citi-zens. When these boys think they can string along with several hundred other Bingham boys we will welcome them back.
