Show prosperity AT SILVER ILVER S PEAK pre press ss blair nev after innumerable delays which have caused a great many people much uneasiness and dissatisfaction the work of excavating cava ting for the stamp mill for the afie pitts burg silver peak mining company began this morning the force of men to be employed will be as large as room can be found for and that at this time will require more than seem to be at hand the force forbe will be increased ais a rapidly as the men can be had and it is desired to lose no more time in the construction than is actually necessary the well in the marsh from which ane water supply for the mill will be taken is rapidly getting in shape for work the transformer house for motor and pump being about completed and ready for the installation of the machinery for sinking the well the urvey purvey for the sewer pipe was made the early part of the week and the digging of the trench for this is a piece of work which will be started in the early part of next week and the work pushed to as early completion as possible the water line down the pie street will be laid parallel with the sewer pipe six feet away this however will not be begun until the supply of pipe needed is at hand and thereby do away with the nece necessity s sity for keeping the streets torn up longer than is actually required for doing the work on top of these things comes the announcement no that the postoffice post office lee will be ready to do business tuesday morning thereby be beginning C inning I 1 a new quarter with the commence ment of the year the manner of supply for the office is for a few days yet a matter which is undetermined but it is very probable that the railroad will be bringing in the mail daily within ten days day s after the office is open mr effinger now being in S r san francisco on matters connected with such an arrangement the department having referred the matter to the superintendent of railway mail service for his action which will be final in the meantime the service will have to ve be by way of the peak which will give us a weekly tri mail taking it all the way around the last week in the behr year will go out in a blaze of glory and will leave with us the beginning of things long delayed upon which J the he future tu re of the camp depends |
