Show THUNDER MOUNTAIN MINES statesman boise idaho J B whitlock is out from roosevelt having made the trip in three and one half days he found the road in good condition there being but little snow when he came over the summits but he was ahead of the last storm he passed nine loaded teams going in work is to be carried on on the H Y group under contract during the winter mr whitlock states arrangements to that end having been perfected of other operations in the district he said the assessment was being done on the east dewey group by L C van riper and associates they also own other property in that vicinity on which the men employed on the east dewey will do the work mr whitlock saw captain of the sunnyside Sunny side and found him feeling jubilant over the developments in that property the mine never looked better in addi addition flon to the ore opened up in the main works a discovery has been made half a mile to the east that is of apparent importance this is on the denver claim where D S cotter had charge of the assessment ses work this fall dan cotter was starting a tunnel on his property to tap the standard ledge the claim was looking well there being a good showing of ore development was also in progress in the standard property and that entire section was showing much activity on the head of holy terror creek interesting developments had occurred on the black bill claim owned by the sunnyside Sunny side company while doing the assessment work dan cotter came upon bunches of quartz in the porphyry this carried values on the alice claim adjoining belonging to cotter a body of ore has been opened the size of which has not been determined but six u seven acres of the surface will pan aa joining the alice is the wayland group which is looking well next on the east is the property being developed by the company organized by J M venable A tunnel is being started to cut the ledge this is the old mosser property A house has been erected and timbers secured for the winter |
