make their selection at their next meeting B W goodsell of 33 south canal street chicago is organizing the illinois delegation and is arranging for an elegant special train for the use of the from itka to governor hunt of idaho says that he will appoint thirty of the most prominent mining people of alaska to the mining bon congress gress and will urge them all to attend among the number being mr mcdonald the new superintendent of the treadwell mines D E burley of this city general passenger agent and traffic manager of the oregon short line has written secretary mahon that he is going to take up the matter of railroad rates with railroads outside of the western passenger association and that he will do all that he can to secure favorable rates to the congress from distant points in the united states of necessity every visitor to the Con congress gregs will have to go quite a portion of the distance to boise over the short tine line and the mining review can assure delegates and visitors that mr burley broad and enterprising will do everything in his power to make the journey a plea pleasant gant and ana enjoyable one in every respect the committee of the salt lake stock exchange is preparing the exchange mineral exhibit for the congress and mine owners all over the state are being urged to add to the collection all samples and specimens to be sent to D H peery jr president of the exchange the oregon short line road has kindly offered to furnish a car and transportation free for the exhibit the enterprising citizens of los angeles early last fall made a tender to boise city that in case boise wished to withdraw and would let the forthcoming session of the congress go to los angeles they would upon one days notice deposit to the credit of the te congress and that as soon thereafter as necessary more would be raised to make an unqualified success of the ahe Cor congress gress in addition los angeles pledged itself to furnish a magnificent mineral exhibit for th the occasion the trans mississippi congress will hold its annual session at cripple creek on the of july in order to enable the delegates to this congress to visit the international mining congress at boise idaho the railroads have announced a rate of one fare for the round trip and it is stated that a special especial fast train will be run from cripple creek to boise for or the convenience of trans mississippi delegates who may wish to attend the mining 0 congress it would be well if an effort were made to have this special return by the way of salt lake
