Show THE LOS ANGELES ROAD many I 1 of the readers of the mining review are aware that there is great enthusiasm thusia sm manifested over the prospects of having 11 a new railroad running southwest from this city with los angeles as the proposed terminus on the pacific slope much has already been said as to the benefits which will accrue to the real estate interests of this city there can be no question as to the advantages 11 which all the general lines of business in the city will derive from the building el of the proposed road real estate will ad advance vanee building will be stimulated both wholesale and retail trading tr adino will be quickened and the city will rapidly increase in population A portion of the country which this road will open is well adapted for agriculture and for cattle raising 11 the mineral deposits in the country through which the road will pass will prove probe the greatest source of wealth considerable prospecting has been done both in this state and idne in nevada and rich deposits have been found comparatively little work has been done because of the expense and the inconvenience experienced in in getting supplies into the various districts and in getting the ore to the market with direct railroad facilities and communication with a ready market the great wealth of the region will be made available the portion of the two states which will be crossed by the proposed road is rich in gold silver lead and copper by all means let the road be built and that as soon as possible |
