Show IDAHO METALS CO RESUMES MANY LEASES TO BE AWARDED news that the idaho metals company is again in readiness to operate after an enforced idleness of three months will be welcomed by local people as well as by many leas ers throughout the country who are only awaiting the word to return to mackay and again share in the prosperity that will follow the resumption of activities of this company says the mackay miner of the in an interview with a representative of the miner H V jenkins manager of the company stated that the compressor plant at the cossak will resume operations on thursday september 25 and that shipments of high grade ore to the smelters shelters sm elters will be started by october 1 mr jenkins also stated that from indications the mill will be in readiness to receive low grade ore between the and of october the resumption of these operations will make it possible for a large number of leasers leaders to begin work as they now have an opportunity to dispose of any ore they may wish to move and from inquiries being received daily from all parts of the country a great many of the old leasers leaders of the company are expected to return leases will be let for one year commencing october 1st ast following the fire of july 1 which destroyed the ore bins and tram house and damaged the tramway equipment of the company the work of rebuilding was started immediately dia tely and the fact that the huge amount of work necessary for a resumption of operations was performed in the short space of less than three months time speaks well for those engaged in the task of rebuilding the importance of this property is too well known to need a recounting here and the resuming of its operations is good news to the people of mackay as it will mean much to the business interests and the public in general |
