| Show GOOD RETURNS ON FIRST SHIPMENT FROM UTAH SILVER LAKE PROPERTY A few days ago ag o sni smelter elter settlement was received on the initial shipment of ore from the utah silver lake min in ing companas Comp anys property in the silver island mining district a few miles northeast of wendover and about seven miles west of salduro on the great salt lake the ore had a gross value of per ton and was sold on controls showing gozs silver 1805 per cent lead per cent copper and per cent zinc the consignment less than twenty dry tons brought b over 1500 another shipment will be ni marketed as soon as the ore can be hauled to the loading b station and the management states that it will run higher than did the lot just sold under the b general beneral direction of A G burritt as consulting engineer the company is developing one ledge through three tunnels at different elevations which are following the vein into the mountain on the opposite side of the hill and across a canyon to the west another vein is being opened by tunnel in which the ore is of considerably consider considerably abl y higher b grade than that opened by the tunnels on the east side the ore just marketed came mostly from the three tunnel workings though b some of the ore taken out in running b the west tunnel on a separate vein was mixed with it the next shipment will consist chiefly of ore from the west tunnel workings and is expected to outclass the first shipment very materially engineer burritt states the company now has a first class man in charge of the property and as development progresses b he is more than confident a bi big b mine will be opened up A vigorous campaign is planned for this year at the mine |
