Show WYOMING A well is reported to have been brought in by the producers refiners refinery Re finers corporation in the new red hed desert field this is the first well for the district which has attracted much attention since last winter and it is expected that considerable development will result the oil is said to have flowed over the crown pulley twice the first day and the well is considered a good one big muddy with a production of about barrels per day is gaining on salt creek with its barrels and oil men predict that within a few months the former will be the premier producer of the state the first well in big muddy was brought in in october two years ago last year it had seven wells completed to the wall creek sand and a production of 2000 barrels now it has approximately fifty deep wells with thirty five others drilling manager william wood wo od of the lincoln idaho oil company with holdings in the fossil slate creek dry piney and waterfall fields in the southwest portion of the state announces that the company has purchased a 6 small refining plant which is to be installed in the dry piney field just as soon as received the company has found a high grade crude oil in its well in the district mr woods states that no fe fewer than twenty wells will be drilled by his company in 1919 in dry piney A casper dispatch gives the following information regarding present operations of the midwest refining company drilling reports for september show that the company in that month completed eleven producing oil wells at the end of the month it had fifty four wells drilling or rigs erected preparatory to drilling of this total thirty seven were in the big muddy field all of which were drilling ten were in the salt creek field where the company last month completed a well with initial production variously estimated at from fro r n to barrels a day this sets a record for the companes company comp anys ps drilling activity the companas comp anys two refineries ref at casper and greybull now are reported to be handling approximately barrels of rude crude c oil daily this represents a large increase over last year the refineries having been undergoing constant expansion As a result of its enlarged operations profits of the understood company are to be running at a much higher figure than in 1917 when the net income was estima estimated ted at a share or about 22 2250 50 the par value of shares is 50 earnings therefore were approximately 45 per cent on the outstanding capital the th companas comp anys authorized capitalization is 50 divided into shares of which were outstanding at last re ports in addition to its excellent showing of net profits in 1917 the comp company any is reported to have written of off f a total of for depreciation taxes etc the shares in 1917 sold as high as |
