Show THE CHINO QUARTERLY the report of the chino copper company of santa rita new mexico for the quarter ending june 30 shows that pounds of copper was produced produce d at a cost of cents per poune this cost is over three quarters of a cent higher than for the first quarter president C M macneill and general manager D C jackling sum up the condition of affairs as follows the average monthly production for year 1912 was pounds the total amount of ore milled during the quarter was tons an average of tons per day as compared to tons corresponding to a daily average of tons for the first quarter of the year the average percentage of copper contained in the ore treated for the quarter was per cent as against per cent for the preceding quarter the average extraction for the quarter was per cent corresponding to a recovery of 2797 pounds of copper per ton of ore milled the cost per pound of net copper produced for the quarter after making allowances for smelter deductions and without crediting miscellaneous income was cents per pound as compared with cents per pound for the first quarter if miscellaneous earnings were used as a credit to the cost of producing copperi copper such credit would amount for the quarter to 03 cent per pound bringing the net cost of copper produced down to cents per pound in the costs as stated are included all operation administration and general charges as well as the expense of such mill improvements as were made during the period A charge of 30 cents per ton of ore treated for the extinguishment of mine development and stripping expense is also included in the stated costs at the close of the quarter the total amount of copper on hand and in transit sold and unsold was pounds which copper was inventoried inventories invent oried at an average value of cents per pound during r the quarter there was removed by steam shovels a total of cubic yards of material measured in place an average of cubic yards per month of the total amount so removed cubic yards was stripping the remainder of the yardage being ore equivalent to tons |
