Show JOINS FORMER Death of J 3 F Williams an Old Corn Com stocker and Associate of R It C Chambers Special to The Tho H Herald Richfield Utah Jan F Williams a California pioneer and an old Ume Comstock mining operator died last night at the home or of his son Atha Williams edItor of the Richfield Reaper Mr WIlliams who had been feeble for many years ears suffered a fall faU last Wednes Wednesday day which dislocated his hip Ho He su suf suffered greatly from the accident until death came to his relief He was born In St Louis Mo Io March 15 1831 and went to California during the early days of the gOld excitement He was wai associated torn for a number ot of years ears in mining operations there with R It C Cham Chambers Chambers bers formerly of Salt Lake He vent tOI Nevada In the boom times on the Corn Com Comstock stock and was closely associated there therewith therewith with Sharon Mac ay Flood OBrien and other bonanza mine owners of those days a s sHe He made three fortunes in mining but lost them through speculation He came cameto to 10 Richfield about three years ago to lIve IIvo with his son and daughter Mrs R it RH itH H He has son T R Williams II ams living at and other children in California The funeral will take place In this city tomorrow under the auspices of the Odd Fellows of which h he was a member |
