Show HOME SERVICE DEPENDABLE In an age of competition, satisfaction and service must be guaranteed before any business institution can long survive. sur-vive. Any business which bases its existence on a useless service, or operates inefficiently is soon driven from existence. exist-ence. When you view your home town business establishments establish-ments you are considering service institutions which have proven their worth, 'meriting your patronage and consider- ation. Anyone who wishes to enter business and cares to risk the necessary capital can do so. Nobody faces fiercer competition than does a small town businessman. He must give absolute satifaction or lose trade to his competitor next door or across the street. For a customer hard to please there are towns within short distances with shops which may suit the fancy for a time. Varying conditions, myriad complaints can be met by small businessmen only by giving satisfaction in goods andj prices that please customers. Most people expect and receive accomodations from home town merchants which they would never ask or receive re-ceive by concerns whose business volume is large and service ser-vice more impersonal. This feature in accomodation should be a strong point in favor of the home merchant. Another point is that church, schools and public activities activi-ties are possible only because there are successful businesses busines-ses to back them in the community. When these businesses fail the town decays and public activities cease. Town prosperity pros-perity is impossible when its business goes elsewhere. The town is bled of funds which give it life. Many people do not realize to what an extent the life of a town depends on money being spent there. When money regularly is spent outside of town banks lose business, merchants mer-chants cannot stock merchandise they should, money becomes be-comes hard to get and the town declines. Residents of the town lose when home merchants fade from the picture. People employed in businesses 'lose their jobs and investors lose savings and capital. The community residents lose in service. |
