WHERE FIVE PRIZES i WENT TO WINNERS I Our committee was up against It said Wallace M Bransford the chair chairman chairman man of the adjudicating board that In Inspected inspected the yards in he nort eastern district There were so many that were j just st as as good and so many any that were just a tittle bit bitt betterIn some re n e and a little BlUe bit worse In others We tried to do the best we could Our distrIct ha had more entries and more prIzes to be awarded than any ot of the others I think the most re remarkable remarkable thing about the whole con contests contests tests Is that one premises should have taken first prize for front and second prize for back In our district the doubles were numerous humorous Doubtless this was because those who maintained a premium front yard ard also aimed i at a companion back backyard backyard yard I am glad the competition engen I r ered so much enthusiasm There c r has been a stimulation In our district on a account count ot of The Herald prizes and I hope you ou will repeat them next year
