Show Home Fields More Pleasant Recently friend returning from a leisurely tour of the Pacific Pa-cific coast told us what he saw there. Viewed through the eye of a shrewd businessman, the majority of towns he visited appeared ap-peared In a critical economic condition, torn with labor strife. Upset working conditions were reflected In every walk of life. The business man said, "It's great to be back. Utah Is a fine place to live." A Utah publisher felt much the same way when, returning after a six month experiment In a Los Angeles business venture, he wrote : "After leaning over the fence and eating grass from the other oth-er field for the past six months your publisher has returned with first hand Information that the most luscious grass obtainable have skyrocketed there recently until first quality cuts are not even stocked by many of the retailers, re-tailers, and Information about where to buy good meat passes around over the back fence among neighbors, taking the place of former conversation which dealt with neighborhood scandal. Citizens should remember remem-ber the business people of this city In their prayers for the fair and square treatment they receive re-ceive here as compared to merchandising merch-andising tricks practiced elsewhere.'' else-where.'' Few of us have six month's time to spare in finding out for ourselves how green the farther jfields really are. But mos of us don't have to leave home to appreciate ap-preciate how honest, fair and accomodating ac-comodating our home town merchants mer-chants are. , coast with cheap labor, our happiness at being back Is beyond be-yond the power of expression With the exception of green vegetables ve-getables which are grown on the coast with cheap labor Our town can boast cheaper meat and staple prices than now exist In Los Angeles and vicinity.
