grave danger of an Immediate spread of the malady malad The truth of the matter Is j that the incident at the school arose in to this manner A pupil t became ill at his home of diphtheria 4 The attending physician failed to report re report report port the case to the health department on the day when ho he should have h ve done doneso so The following day word came to the school authorities in the forenoon of the existence of the diphtheria case The school authorities notified the health board and Immediate steps were I taken to isolate the patient In the aft aCt afternoon afternoon n of of contagion in the city at the present time the board of health has decided not to allow children from home homes wherein there exists a case of contagious conta ous disease di ease to return to school without first a permit Such diseases as smallpox diphtheria diphtheria theria therla scarlet fever measles whooping cough and epidemic spinal meningitis are already provided for by ordinance
