adopted at Logan Utah by the Democratic party of this state and pledge ourselves to the support of the nominees We Ye favor the enactment of an effective direct primary law and we note with principle pleasure the he endorsement by the Republican party of this Democratic We e favor a system that shall have for Its object the betterment of our roads and pledge our candidates for county commissioners when elected to the immediate prosecution of this work and we condemn the gross inefficiency inefficiency displayed by the present Republican administration in the construe construction construction tion and care of our public highways hl We feel that the Democratic party would be derelict in its Is duty to the people if it did not recommend some method for controlling the liquor tra traffic endorse such legislation and pledge our to such action acton we condemn the Republican party part with wih full ful control of the state machinery in its is hands for its almost criminal neglect in this regard and we point to their platform statements and denounce them statement as hypocritical over oer overtures tures tunes to gain votes We condemn the th Republican party for its Is gross inefficiency in public office and its is domination by cliques and machines and we are proud of the fact that the principles of the great Democratic party are finding favor and endorsement at the acclamation The motion car carried carried ried tied and the four men were declared the nominees For district attorney James Hamilton was nominated by Samuel Russell Russel and Will Wi W Ray flay by Ashby Snow Mr Ray flay immediately arose and declared that while he hOc appreciated the honor of oC the nomination he felt fel that he could do more good for tor the party through organization of
