At Tuesday Meet Perfect Fourth of July Plans And Discuss Monthly Matters BIG GAME BETWEEN PROVO AND GEMMELL SLATED 1 FOR FOURTH, PLANS FOR FIRE DISPLAY PROGRESSING, SAY FIREMEN Representatives of the Bingham District Business associ- 1 ation met with the Firemen at the regular monthly meeting for the entire B. V. F. D. at the unit No. 1 hall Tuesday evening to offer any support needed besides direct donations already nledeed. Committee members who will contact business houses for support of the Fourth of July celebration include Ray Tatton, Earl James, Vern Faddis, and Grant Merrill. Plans for Fourth Progress Sheriff S. Grant Young will be the marshall of the day in Bingham Canyon. The.Lehi band is available for the celebration. They ar equipped equip-ped with new uniforms and. will undoubtedly add greatly to the days festivities. The Bingham community com-munity band that has been organized organiz-ed recently is expected to participate partici-pate in making this Fourth of July one of the largest and best ever held in Bingham Canyon. For the first time in many years visitors to Binghams 4th celebra-' celebra-' tion will be able to witness a ball game between two of the Utah State Industrial teams. According to Al. Ablett, manager of the Gem-mell Gem-mell club team, a game has been arranged with Provo and from all indications holiday seekers will see some fast baseball. Fireworks Display to be Unique It was definitely decided at the meeting Tuesday evening to put on a big fireworks display. This feature fea-ture will be something new in the way of entertainment It la planned to obtain fireworks from company that specializes in this line of ma terials. In this way the display will be put on by experts. Loren Stokes of unit No. 1 and Jay Farnsworth of Unit No. 2, members mem-bers of a committee selected to plan uniforms, reported on the uniforms uni-forms which will b worn this year in the parade on the Fourth and at the state Firemen's convention. |
