Show PROMINENT MINING MAN John Henry Woodman Who Came to Salt lake Thirty Years Ago Is Dead John Henry Woodman aged 53 years ears died at 1025 yesterday morn mornIng mornIng Ing lag at his residence 14 South Seventh East street Erysipelas was the con contributing contributing contributing cause of death developing into a complication of diseases which resulted res in much suffering Mr Woodman was born in Ontario Canada December 1 1856 Educated in inthe inthe Inthe the provinces he was well weil equipped to enter into the business life of the west which he early earl selected as the field for his fortune He came to Salt Lake Lale June 19 1880 Attracted by mercantile mercantile mercantile tile pursuits he entered the employ employment employment employment ment of the old Cunnington store at Second South and Main streets ts as book bookkeeper bookkeeper bookkeeper keeper a position which he held for eighteen years When ho he had accumulated some money Mr Woodman engaged in the mining business He was a nephew of Fred Woodman original of the Emma mine At the time of his death he was heavily interested in Woodman properties Mr Ir Woodman was married mamed to Miss Louise Higginbotham of Ogden in inJune inJune inJune June 1903 He Is survived by a widow and two sons Jack aged 6 G years and Frank aged 1 year also three broth brothers ers Arthur George and Charles Wood Woodman Woodman man of Eastport Me and an aunt Mrs Emma Jarvis of Kingstree S C |
