Show MRS NELDEN IS GIVEN fiNE SET Of BOOKS Closing Program of Music Section of Literary Club is Rare Hare Treat At the Ladles Literary club house last evening the closing program of the music section of or the club was en enJoyed en enjoyed Joyed by a 0 large audience These meetings are held once every emery month during the club year when musical composers are studied and their th lr com corn compositions compositions positions interpreted The program program last evening opened with a duet given in finished style by Mrs J T Treasure and Mrs A H Peabody Pea bod Mrs Virginia Swift Dally Daily whose beautiful soprano voice is always appreciated was w spar par particularly harpy happy In her selections One of the marked successes of f the evening was the appearance appearances of the chorus under the leadership of Mrs W A A Wetzel while the group of little songs were all pleasing the b number by Dvorak The Song My Mother Taught Me was one one of the gems of the evening Violin solos by Mrs Mm Torild Arnold Arnoldson son and the harp solos by Mrs W G Tuttle added to the pleasure of the program which closed with two Chopin numbers splendidly given by Miss Fan Fannie Fannie nie P Olds OllIs Mrs S O 0 S Nelden Miss Loreen Leary and Miss Rowena Kerns were the skillful accompanists A number which was not on the pro program program program gram but which was none the less interesting in interesting wa was waa the presentation by the members of the music section to Mrs Nelden who w o has held the position of chairman for twelve years of a hand handsome handsome handsome some set of books The presentation tion I speech was made by Mrs Mra P I N Cook Co k Mrs Nelden In spite of being complete ly surprised responded most gracefully grace gracefully fully |
