The Tribune in an account of the finding ul Urn body of Daly, who committed suicide on Long Island, has the folluwing epiaude: Mr. Bajley led the reporter to a cor. er of the room, where lay a dark pool of blood. In the gloom of the evening every object was indixti.ict. The reporter thought he detected a piece of cord lying upou the edge of the blood, and imagining it might have been something used by Daly in hia fatal act he took it up but dropped it instantly with a shudder, ft was a Bnake which writhed he touched it. There were acvoral of these reptiles in the house, most of them in the room whre Daly had hanged himself. |
