Tu Hi( p iuk.m The scarcity oF water in City Creek and the increasing demand for water for irrigation, renders the sliict enforcement en-forcement uf the following provisions of the "Ordinance in relation to the Salt Lako City Water Works," etc., absolutely necessary: Sec. 16. Sprinklers for lawns, gardens, yards, and sidewalks must be used only for the purposes expressed ex-pressed iu the license; aud no sprinkler sprink-ler shall be used (or sprinkling the titrect outside of the sidewalk, unless such privilege is included in the licenne aud paid fur accordingly. Sidcwains, windows and fronts shall oot be cpriukled except between the hours ol 6 and 9 a.m., 1 and 2, and 6 and 8 p.m. No nozzle for sprinkling sprink-ling shall be larger than one-fourth inch in diameter. Water consumers are not allowed lo waste any water, or allow it to be wasted; nor to use it for any purpose not stated in their licenses; nor to allow unlicensed persons to draw from their pipes; nor to use the water from the pipes lor irrigating purposes. Persons having licenses permitting them to sprinkle the sidewalk in front of (heir premises must counno such sprinkling solely to the premise named in the license. Every water taker should read 1m license and not use the water for anv purpose except hb therein stated, as any inlriugemeut of the Water Ordinance Ordi-nance subjects the offender to forfeiture for-feiture of water privileges or to a fiue of not exceeding $50 for each oflense.
