Show Successful Sportsmen. The excursionists who returned from Cache valley on Friday night, appeared joyous, and they give turning turn-ing accountsof their pleasant sojourn in that beauteous valo. Among those who followed the eporla of Nimrcd and enjoyed the pastimes of the gentle Izaak Walton, we noticed that Col. S. F. Nuckolls, Howard Sebreo, T. J. Almy and Master Paul Nuckolls were champions. They returned with 103 grouse and twenty pounds of handsome trout, and report that they buw a deer, but we imagine it is spclh'd with an a; and that if they bad attempted to capture her, some young fellow would have caused them to forget even the names of their progenitors. ThaQKsgiving. Thanksgiving services were hold by the citizens of Mil) Crsak ward on Friday. The occasion was a social reunion re-union ol the people of that p. ace, and an aiprdjsion of thank to huaven lor the bountiful harvest tbev had reaped ' this ueason. Prayer, singing and iu-1 iu-1 slrumenUl music, and an appropriate address by Bishop R. Miller, were all listened to anl enjoyed by the company. com-pany. At noon tables were spread with tho delicacies and iubiUntialu of the farmer' g-irdom, and 450 residents resi-dents of that ward partook thereof. The eieut was a very enjoyable ono, and will loug bo remembered by all ! who took part iu it. ' |
