Show Destructive Storm. New York, 4. A violent storm ol wind and raia prevailed here all night. Advices from Baltimore state that considerable damage was done thereby the storm. Trains on the Philadelphia, Washington aud Balti-, Balti-, more road were delayed by a wash out of culverts. On the -Hudson river -railroad a serious wash put occurred near Riverdale, and the Pacific express, leaving New York at S.30, met with an accident near there. The engine, two express cars, baggage car and one coach were thrown from the track by sand. No one was hurt, but the train was de- layed several hours. |
