By an oversight the following minutes of the meeting in the court house Thursday night, did not appear in the Herald yesterday morning : Pursuant to call, a meeting was held Thursday evening at the federal court house, and on motion of Gen. Maxwell, Hon. James B. McKean w;is elected chairman, and Albert Hagan secretary. Ou motion, a finance committee of three was apDOtnted by the chair to collect funds to defray expenses, consisting con-sisting of Col. W. M. Johns, William Bird and Col. Kahn. On motion, Gen. P. E. Conor was elected president ol tho day, and Col. W. M. Johns, marshal. An motion, a committee of Gve was appointed to select the poet and orator of the day, as follows : Gen. Maxwell, K. A. Woodill, McKay, Captain G. S. Carpenter and Fred, iockley. ,- On motion, a committee of three . J wa3 appointed on music, t.s follows: " O. W. Bojtwick, Prof. LaMar and ' Mr. Williams. On motion, a committee of three on invitation was appointed, as follows: fol-lows: Albert Hagan, Dr. Smith and Major Bradley. Said committee was nstructed to invite the various organizations organ-izations of the city to participate in the decoration. Tho committee reported in favor of Hon, James 13. McKcan and Albert Hagan as orators, and asked further lime to report other names. Report adopted, and further time granted. On motion, acoiumittco consisting of General Kimball, Gen. Maxwell and D. 11. Beiuley wad appointed to confer with the commander of Camp Douglas, and ask that those soldiers who arc members of the grand army s oC the republic, be allowed to join . ith us as one body. Capiain G. S.
