Show When Thieves Steal. In a Oight of oratory in the third district court yesterday, an attorney said to the jury: "Thieves do not steal at noon-day, when the sun is midway on her path from east to west. They take the night, black night, darkness, and hide themselves in conspicuous places." The same lawyer alluded to an ordinary plain diuuk as the "infurioso condition," and spoke of money simple gold and greenbacks as "concrete cash." And yet the jury convicted bis client. However, they recommended him to the mercy of the court. |
