The Hamil mill has ahut down ; and eeveral mills are without hands. At a meeting of strikers in Military hall to-day Gustavo Henricks favored returning to work. The women attacked him and tore bis coat, and one woman threw salt and pepper in hia eyes. He drew an empty revolver, re-volver, but was chased out of the hall and pursued half a mile. The woman who threw the pepper was beld to bail in $500. The strikers visited various milla to persuade the operatives opera-tives lo join them. The polico havo been called in to protect the hands at work. |
