Show Found Dead. Harry World, who last night returned re-turned from a trip to Alta, informs us that on Sunday morning about 5 o'clock tho dead body of Duncan Clark was found lying in the cellar of James Brandy's house at Alta, where he boarded. A savage gash was cut in his heat!, and tho body was lying face downwards in sufficient water to havo suffocated him. The prevalent theory was that Clark went out of the house and in the dark stumbled off from a platform into a ditch iu the eel I n r, cutting his bead as he fell, and rendering him insensible. A coroner's coro-ner's inquest was hold by a justice of the peace, but a vesdict had not been reached when the train left last evening. |
