Show Detroit's Good Boys. He was standing at the corner of Campau and Jeflerson avenues when a policeman came along, and, pointing point-ing to a box at bis feet, this good boy said : "The farmer who lost that off his sleigh will feel awful bad. I s'pose you'll take it to the station, won't you ?" "You are an honest boy," replied the officer. "Some boyB would have lugged that box off home. "Yea, I'll take it to the station." It was a stout box, weighing over eighty pounds, and when the officer sat it down in tbe station house all ' his bones ached. Some said it was butter, and some said cheese, and so it was opened. The contents were cobble stones. Tho officer ran all the way back, and he spent hours looking look-ing for the good boy, but without any luck. The g. b. knew his business. |
