Show Excursions. Editors Herald: As excursions are becoming au in stitution nowadays, en steamboats, railroadj, etc., etc., I take the liberty of asking a questiou through your valuable paper, without referance to any particular excursion or railroad. Although seidom, yet too frequently it occurs that a few drunken rowdies, with their cursing and blasphemy and bawdy talk spoil the pleasure of a whole party. At times some of the excursionists themselves and frequently fre-quently regular passengers who are traveling in tbe same train are the guilty parties. Now what I waut to know is, whose business is it to suppress sup-press such doings and protect respectable respect-able people in their rights? Am I to understand that because this is n "free country," I must sit in a railway rail-way car witn ladies and children and. listen to the dirty ravings of a drunken madman. Surely it must be somebody's duty to attend to this matter. Enquiueii. |
