Hi reports that tLie road from Custer city to Fort Liramie is strewn wilh wagons, the owners having fled, been killed or cupt-.ired by Indians. During his trip frou. Custer to Cheyenne ho drowsed the wounds of twelve men who were wounded by Indians. It is dangerous for small parties to undertake the trip. At Ked canon, where H. E. Brown was recently killed, a few Indians can hold against great odds, as they secret themselves in the rocks and shoot down. |
