A fire to-night broke out out at loo Randolph street, two doors west of Hooky's theatre, in the building owned by Rudolph Wehrli, and occupied as a saloon by Klees and Gray, who lose about S7.000. Wehrh's loss is $1,000. Total insurance, about $1,000. The city council to-night, after a protracted discussion, voied to remove re-move S. S. Hayes, city comptroller, and to appoint R. R. Derickton in his place. They also removed Good ell, police marshal, Baily, the building inspector, and abolished the board of health. |
