Show The Price of Tickets. A serious mistake or oversight by the advance agent of the Forepaugh circus is causing a good dtal of annoyance an-noyance and trouble to Mr. Lusbie, the ticket seller, and the public. The "copy" for the udvtrtisementa in th Salt Lake pspers was taken from eastern east-ern journals, where the price of admission ad-mission to the Bhow was only half what i8 asked here, $1. At the Herald office the agent's attention was called to this fact, and he struck out the eastern price list from the adv., but neglected to do so with the advertisements in the other city papers, and the half prices appeared in the announcements. The public were thus ltd to believe that a reduc lion had been made, and yesterday Mr. Lnshie was under the necessity of explaining the matter to hundreds of ticket buyers, some of whom denounced de-nounced the affair as sharp practice on the part o.' the circus people, which was not the case. One dollar seems a large sum to gain admission to a circus, but that is and baB been the standard price, and a good show could hardly afTjrdto ask less, considering the large expenee attending the trans- 1 continental trip. |
