Show MINTS FOR SPRING WORK. Aa spring approaches much time may bo saved by mabiug a careful preparation lor the busy days coming. A few suggestions, if not new, may help to .remind farmers of things which would otherwise be forgotten. Firt-t New tools and machines should be provided, and old ones repaired, re-paired, and, if necessary, painted. Second A well-defintd plan of operation, op-eration, with explanation in detail, should be written; such as the amount of laud to be ploughed, kinds of crops to b sowed, number of acres of each kind, trees to be set out, etc. Third A little book and lead-pencil, lead-pencil, faithfully ucfld, will save many' dollars in the course of a year. They should be kept in the pocket, and the time, place and manner of t lie various kinds of work to be performed should be written down as soon aa they occur to the mind. How often an important impor-tant work is put off "till another year," simply because it has been forgotten for-gotten until it is too late! Fourth Repairing buildings, fences, roads, ditches, harnesses, &c, should be attended to as soon as possible. pos-sible. Sixth Do not forget to procure a plentiful supply ot tuel, not only to save your own time, but the lime and patience of these in the house. Seventh The huusehold should not be overlooked, and everything which will promote the comfort and convenience of the housekeeper should be provided so far as practicable. practica-ble.
